When moving out of halls, deciding on the best place to live in Liverpool can be a difficult decision to make. Comprising of the postcodes L6 and L7, properties in this area benefit from being within walking distance to the city centre without a larger price tag or cost. There are plenty of amenities in Kensington for students, including cheaper options for food shops, and there are plenty of unique small businesses that are quirky and cheap just on your doorstep.
Properties in Toxteth usually have an L8 postcode. Also known as the Georgian Quarter, Toxteth is home to historical Georgian buildings and terraced houses at reasonable prices for those looking to rent. There are limited student accommodations in this area, but if you’re lucky enough to find one, it could be the perfect place for you.
Properties in this area of Liverpool have an L15 postcode and it is home to a large number of restaurants, takeaways, shops, pubs and so much more. The Brookhouse is one of the biggest student pubs in this area and is renowned for its £1 pint nights every week. Although it’s quite a distance from the city centre, there are plenty of public transport links that can assist you. Smithdown Road is one of the most popular student areas in Liverpool, so if you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of student life, this is the place for you.
Home to the popular Lark Lane, students who live in Aigburth can enjoy plenty of beautiful restaurants, shops and cafes. There are great transport links to the city centre in Aigburth, and with Sefton Park nearby you’ll have plenty of green space to explore if you’re a nature lover.
