Socialising and eating out is huge part of the student lifestyle but it isn’t always easy on a student budget. Good cheap eats can be hard to come by in a new city and cooking away from home for the first time may be a daunting prospect. We have scoured Liverpool’s dining scene to find restaurants and bars offering great food for even better prices.
Ziferblat is a totally new concept in dining, one where all the food and drink is free! But (and isn’t there always a but!) you pay for the time you spend in the space. Although the food offerings are largely limited to coffee and cake this is a really wallet friendly way to fit in a snack. It also doubles as a useful and comfortable work or study space. Who knows? This could be the beginning of a dining revolution.
Font is a student classic, offering budget friendly cheap eats, a relaxed vibe and an awesome soundtrack. With breakfast served until 3pm, an extensive burger menu and low cost cocktails on offer it’s easy to while away an hour or afternoon here without splurging too much cash.
If you fancy a bit more heat in your menu than Mowgli may be the place to go. Offering an exciting array of authentic Indian street food there are plenty of interesting morsels on offer at Mowgli. We love there zingy Gun Powder Chicken and none of there great tasting treats will break the bank.
Nandos may not be exclusive to Liverpool but for a tasty, quick and cheap meal its hard to beat. With various outlets around the city drop in for a cheap lunch or pre night out feast with friends.
With two branches in Liverpool (City centre and Crosby) Moose Coffee is undoubtedly one of the hidden gems of Merseyside. Here the food is good and the portions are huge, making this a perfect spot for the morning after the night before.
We hope you have found something to wet your appetite in our favourite places to grab a budget bite!
