It’s no secret that student life is incredibly stressful even at the best of times, With exams and essays always looming between the killer 9am lectures, getting the work-life balance right can be a daunting task. So here are some of our top tips to stay organised during your time whilst living in student accommodation that will make your life that little bit easier.
Make a meal plan & Stick to it!
Even if you are staying in catered accommodation, it is far too easy to sink into a diet of instant noodles and greasy takeaway pizzas. This combination is a recipe for disaster when combined with havy nights of drinking 3/4/5 nights per week.
Labels on anything/ Everything you own!
Living in any household, it is not uncommon for things of yours to suddenly start disappearing, especially in student houses. It may be your cereal, chargers, anything can suddenly go missing. Keeping a label or simply writing your name on anything useful/ valuable to you will sort out any arguments.
Keep a written calendar
Living the student life grows more and more chaotic throughout each and every year of your course. Enjoy freshers week whilst you can because it won’t be long before exams, essays and the dreaded group projects start ruling your life! Make things easier for yourself by writing your deadlines on a calendar/diary. Getting into this habit will ensure that you will never forget to submit anything and keeps a clear track of your work schedule.
Get a good night’s rest
Possibly the most difficult task of uni life is finding the time to get a good nights sleep however it is completely worth it! Getting your 8 hours a night is not only essential for a variety of health benefits, including your body & your mind. Getting a goof night sleep will help you concentrate when it matters the most.
