For students, downtime is just as important as your study hours but it can be a struggle to find out what’s going on in your town. With our quick guide, you can find out the hottest events happening in Liverpool this week without trawling through pages of Google searches.
If drinking and watching films is your thing, you might want to head down to the new Liverpool film festival. Indieflicks features films from emerging talent and gives viewers a chance to rate the film and have a q&a session with special guests. There are also happy hour drinks all night, so if you want an interesting cheap and cheerful night out with a bit of culture, this is one to attend. The event is only £6, held at the Small Cinema on Victoria Street and takes place on the first week of every month.
However, if you’ve got more of a sweet tooth and sugary cinema popcorn isn’t cutting it, the opening of Liverpool’s new dessert restaurant Kaspa’s may tickle your fancy. The vegetarian friendly menu offers cakes, sundaes, waffles and smoothies to whet your appetite. Kaspa’s is located on Victoria Street and there’s a chance of bagging a free dessert with their Selfie of the Week competition. Free ice cream? Yes please.
For a chance to do your groceries on the cheap – and maybe buy a widescreen TV or two – Tesco’s Black Friday Sale is an event you want to be involved in. Tesco will be holding their sale frenzy on 21 November, a whole four days earlier than usual Black Friday Sales. Discounts are online only so you can shop your onesie and grab a bargain from the comfort of your duvet. Easy!
